Plan Notes

  • If your dentist doesn’t participate in your plan’s network, your out-of-pocket costs will be higher, and you are subject to any charges beyond the Reasonable and Customary (R&C). To find a network dentist, visit Sun Life at www.sunlife.com/findadentist. Make sure to use the Sun Life network when searching.
  • Dental premium contributions are deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis. Your tier of coverage determines your premium.
  • Adult orthodontia is not included.
  • According to the CDC, untreated cavities can lead to abscess (a severe infection) under the gums which can spread to other parts of the body and have serious, and in rare cases fatal, results.
  • Adult orthodontia is included.
